Launching a website is only the beginning. ShareDev provides managed hosting and ongoing support to keep business websites available, maintained, monitored, and ready to improve as the organization changes.

We support custom ASP.NET Core and Razor websites, WordPress websites, and other compatible business sites after an initial technical review.

This is managed website care rather than commodity disk space. We stay involved after launch to look after the technical foundation, keep an eye on the site, recommend improvements when we see them, and give you one team to contact when the website needs attention.

What Managed Hosting Includes

Somewhere for the site to live is the easy part. The work is everything that keeps it healthy afterwards.

The Technical Foundation

Hosting configuration, SSL certificate monitoring, backup scheduling and deployment support, so releases and certificate renewals are handled rather than remembered.

Watched, Not Just Hosted

Uptime checks, periodic website health review, and investigation of application and server issues when something is not behaving the way it should.

One Team to Contact

Routine maintenance and coordination of approved updates, handled by the people who already know how your website is built.

  • Hosting Configuration
  • SSL Monitoring
  • Backup Scheduling
  • Uptime Checks
  • Deployment Support
  • Application & Server Issue Investigation
  • Routine Maintenance
  • Website Health Review
  • Coordination of Approved Updates

We do not publish blanket backup schedules, retention periods, recovery times, support response times or uptime percentages. Those specifics belong in the agreement for a particular website, where they can be accurate rather than aspirational.

Levels of Support

Three levels, depending on how much you want us doing after launch. Scope is confirmed in writing for each website.

Basic Care

Essential hosting and maintenance for businesses that need a dependable technical foundation and someone monitoring the website after launch.

  • Managed website hosting
  • SSL certificate monitoring
  • Website backups
  • Uptime monitoring
  • Routine maintenance
  • Light technical support
  • Basic issue identification and notification
  • WordPress plugin and theme updates, on websites that use WordPress

Plugin and theme updates apply only to WordPress websites. On a custom ASP.NET Core or Razor website, routine maintenance instead means application deployment support, configuration review, dependency and runtime planning where that is part of the agreed scope, and server-side issue investigation.

Growth Support

For businesses that want ShareDev to do more than keep the website online. We review how the site is performing, identify opportunities, and recommend practical improvements.

Everything in Basic Care, plus:

  • Proactive website review
  • Recommended content improvements
  • Analytics review
  • Google Search Console checks
  • Bing Webmaster Tools checks where configured
  • Website performance monitoring
  • Conversion-path review
  • Identification of outdated or unclear content
  • Recommendations based on observed website use

Reviewing the website and recommending an edit does not mean every implementation is included. When we recommend an edit, feature, or larger improvement outside the included support scope, we explain the recommendation and obtain approval before beginning the work. Additional implementation is scoped separately.

SEO & Content Support

For businesses that need continued content and search-visibility work rather than occasional website maintenance.

  • Ongoing blog and content creation
  • Keyword and search-query tracking
  • Google Business Profile updates
  • Bing Places review where applicable
  • Google Search Console review
  • Bing Webmaster Tools review where configured
  • On-page SEO improvements
  • Local SEO improvements
  • Existing-content updates
  • Website performance review
  • Content recommendations based on search opportunities
  • Coordination with the existing SEO, Local SEO and GEO strategy

Publishing frequency is whatever a particular agreement defines, not a fixed number of posts. We do not promise rankings, leads, traffic growth, map placement or AI citations.

Support Differs by Platform

Maintaining a custom ASP.NET Core application and maintaining a WordPress site are not the same job, and we do not describe them as though they were.

ASP.NET Core and Razor Websites

  • IIS hosting and deployment support
  • Application configuration
  • Runtime and dependency planning
  • Server-side error investigation
  • Database and integration support when included
  • Application updates approved by the client

WordPress Websites

  • WordPress hosting
  • Core, plugin and theme updates
  • Compatibility review
  • Backup and SSL monitoring
  • Approved content changes
  • Performance and security review within the agreed scope

Other Existing Websites

We review an existing website before agreeing to host or support it. Compatibility, maintainability, available credentials, licensing, the current condition of the site and whether we can properly support the platform all have to be evaluated first.

Some sites we can take on as they are, some need work before we can, and some we will decline. We would rather say so at the start than discover it later.

We do not support every hosting platform or every inherited website. A technical review comes before any commitment.

How Changes Are Handled

Nothing outside your plan gets built, or billed, because we thought it was a good idea.

  1. We monitor or review the website. Either routinely, or because something surfaced.
  2. An issue or improvement opportunity is identified. A fault, a gap, or something worth doing better.
  3. We explain the recommendation. What we found, what we suggest, and why it matters.
  4. You approve anything outside the included plan scope. Work beyond your support level does not start without that approval.
  5. We schedule and implement the approved work. At a time that suits the business.
  6. The result is reviewed and documented as appropriate for the change.

Who This Service Is For

  • Businesses whose website was built by ShareDev
  • Organizations that need managed hosting after launch
  • Companies without an internal web or IT team
  • Businesses that want ongoing technical oversight
  • Companies that need continued content and search support
  • Owners who want one team responsible for hosting, maintenance and improvement

Taking over an existing website is something we assess case by case. Not every site is eligible, and we will tell you honestly where yours stands.

Common Questions

What types of websites can ShareDev host?

Custom ASP.NET Core and Razor websites, WordPress websites, and other compatible business websites after an initial technical review. We do not support every platform, so the review comes first and tells us whether we can look after the site properly.

Can ShareDev take over an existing website?

Often, but not automatically. We review compatibility, maintainability, available credentials, licensing, the platform and the current condition of the site before agreeing. Some sites need work before we can take them on, and some we will decline.

Are website edits included?

Routine maintenance is included at every level, and Growth Support adds regular review and recommendations. Edits, features or larger improvements outside the included support scope are scoped separately and approved before any work begins. We do not offer unlimited edits, development or content creation.

How are recommended changes approved?

We explain what we found and what we recommend. If the work falls outside your included plan scope, you approve it before we start. Then we schedule it, implement it, and review the result. Nothing outside the plan is performed or billed without your approval.

Do you support both ASP.NET and WordPress?

Yes, and we describe the maintenance differently for each because it genuinely is different. ASP.NET Core and Razor sites involve IIS hosting and deployment support, application configuration, runtime and dependency planning, and server-side error investigation. WordPress sites involve core, plugin and theme updates, compatibility review, and performance and security review within the agreed scope.

Are backups and SSL monitoring included?

Yes, both are part of managed hosting at every support level. We do not publish a single backup frequency or retention period as a blanket claim, because those are set per website in the agreement rather than being identical for every client.

Does hosting include SEO work?

Not by default. Basic Care and Growth Support cover the technical foundation, monitoring and review. Ongoing search and content work is the SEO & Content Support level, which coordinates with the wider SEO, Local SEO and GEO strategy.

Do you guarantee uptime or search rankings?

No. We do not guarantee an uptime percentage, perfect security, recovery from every possible failure, immediate support at all hours, or any search ranking, traffic level or AI citation. What we do is monitor the site, maintain it, investigate problems, and tell you honestly what we find.
