A One-Page Artist Site Built Around the Music
Clayton Mack is a country-rock musician and songwriter. An artist site has a different job than a service business site - nobody is requesting a quote. The visitor is either deciding whether they like the music, or they already do and want to find it on the platform they use.
ShareDev built a single-page site structured around that sequence. Identity comes first: name, genre and a photograph that establish who this is before a visitor reads anything. Music discovery is the primary action, with a listen prompt in the header and again in the opening section, so reaching the music never takes more than one click from anywhere on the page. Sections for music, background, videos and contact are reachable through anchor navigation, keeping the whole experience on one continuous page rather than making someone load separate pages to browse an artist.
Visually the site is dark and image-led, which suits the material and is a deliberate departure from the bright, conversion-focused layouts used for the contractor and service businesses elsewhere in this portfolio. The underlying discipline is the same - clear hierarchy, one obvious primary action, fast on a phone - but the audience, the tone and the definition of success are entirely different. Being able to build for both is the point of including this project.
What We Built
Single-Page Anchor Navigation
Music, background, videos and contact all live on one continuous page reached by anchor links rather than separate page loads.
Music-First Discovery Path
A listen action in the header and in the opening section so getting to the music is never more than one click away.
Image-Led Visual Design
A dark, photography-driven layout suited to an artist audience rather than a service-business conversion funnel.
